The festival-goer's charter

A village festival doesn’t hold together with barriers — it holds because everyone plays along. Here’s what we ask of you, and what we owe you back.

  1. The village sleeps, you don’t

    Maubourguet opens its arena to us. Between the site, the campsite and the village centre: keep your voice down, no horns. What happens in the arena stays in the arena — the rest of the village has school on Monday.

  2. Buy local

    The bakery, the bars, the grocer, the restaurant keep this village alive all year, not just the first weekend of September. A coffee bought here beats a coffee bought on the motorway.

  3. Consent, always

    We dance together; nobody gets touched without being asked. Heavy-handed flirting, insisting, filming someone without their consent: no — and it ends at the exit. That goes for everyone, no exceptions.

  4. If something goes wrong, come find us

    If any behaviour makes you uncomfortable — for you or for someone else — talk to any crew member (recognisable vest) or go to the bar. We believe you, we act, and you don’t have to justify yourself.

  5. Protect your ears

    Two nights is a lot of hours of sound. Free earplugs at the entrance. Step out for ten minutes now and then — that’s what the park and the shaded areas are for.

  6. Don’t drive after the after

    The campsite is free and included in your pass — use it. Otherwise pick a sober driver, or sleep in the car before heading off. We’d rather see you again next year.

  7. Take your rubbish with you

    Deposit cups, pocket ashtrays, sorting bins on site. The campsite field is lent to us: we give it back the way we found it. A cigarette butt in dry September grass is not a detail.

  8. The crew are volunteers

    Bar, entrance, campsite, first aid: these are people who gave up their weekend. They’re not there to absorb your impatience. A thank-you costs less than a ticket.

If something happens

  • Emergencies (all services, free, from any phone): 112

  • First-aid post on site, signposted and staffed the whole time the site is open.
  • On-duty pharmacy anywhere in France: 3237
  • Evacuation assembly point: shown at the entrance and announced over the PA.

For anything short of an emergency — lost property, a missing friend, feeling unwell — the bar and the entrance know what to do.

In return, we commit to: a safe site, a reachable crew, a line-up we stick to, and an arena handed back clean to the village. See you in a few days.
